Moong Badi is a popular Indian food item made from moong beans paste that has been shaped into small balls or cylindrical shapes and then sun-dried. The dried moong badi can also be stored for long time and used as a protein rich ingredient in a variety of dishes especially in North Indian Cuisine. Rajasthani moong badi is best known in English as sun-dried lentil dumplings or moong dal dumplings. They are also frequently referred to as dried mung bean nuggets, moong wadi or mungodi which are nutritious, spiced, sun-dried droplets made from ground yellow moong dal.
Small savoury sun-dried chunks made from soaked and ground moong dal (split yellow moong dal) mixed with other spices such as red chilli whole, coriander seeds & salt.
